Chesham Bois Catholic Players

Founded in 1953 by a group of parishioners from Our Lady's, Chesham Bois. The Players have had many different "homes" over the years. Founder members performed in church halls, theatres and the "old" Players even used to perform in prisons! These days, home is The Little Theatre by the Park (The Temperance Hall) although our annual panto is still performed on the big stage at the Elgiva.

We are a society with a family theme. Even if there is not a Geilgud, Olivier, Smith or Dench awaiting discovery in your household all are welcome to join. We'll press you into service somewhere!

We aim to perform three productions a year - a Pantomime in January, a play in the Spring and a musical production in the Autumn. In 2005 the Autumn show doubled up as a Christmas fund raiser with two extra nights including an all new second half of seasonal standards and good singalong fayre.

We also have many social events, themed evenings, a Treasure Hunt, Family picnic, play readings and supper evenings. A newsletter keeping us in touch is produced approximately six times a year. We also make regular donations to charities with a focus on those in the local area.

Enjoy browsing through our site and we look forward to seeing you at our next show.
